  • The planning application has been submitted
  • Sales activities for the new project ENTER will begin in November
  • An anchor tenant has leased office space covering 8,300 square metres in the neighbouring new development GROW

By submitting the planning application, the real estate developer Townscape has launched its second office development in the Brunnenviertel neighbourhood in Berlin. On the last remaining plot of land in the Ackerstraße, on the corner of Max-Urich-Straße, the company is developing a gross floor space of more than 17,500 square metres spread out over six floors under the project name ENTER.

The building will contain offices, an area for shops, cafés and restaurants on the ground floor and 42 underground parking spaces. Construction work on the project designed by the architecture firm RKW Architektur + in Düsseldorf will begin in the second quarter of 2018, while marketing activities will start in November 2017.

Henrik Sassenscheidt, managing partner of Townscape, reports, ‘All of the office areas will be bright and welcoming. The architectural concept places a strong focus on achieving this objective and has therefore also integrated courtyards into the building. The rentable space offers flexible floor plans that can be adapted to suit the needs and requirements of the future tenants in consultation with us.’

The Townscape project GROW is nearly fully leased

The adjacent new development GROW at Scheringstraße 1, which has already been under construction since summer 2017, is now nearly fully leased. A globally operating shopping platform has leased 8,300 square metres spread across five floors. Negotiations are already taking place for the remaining areas on the ground floor.

As Sassenscheidt reports, ‘The project has gone above and beyond our expectations of the location. The plots in the Humboldthain Technology Park are developing rapidly. We are delighted that Townscape is also active in this area. Wedding and the Brunnenviertel neighbourhood in particular represent an extremely exciting area of Berlin that is sure to undergo several changes over the next few years.
