Townscape Headquarter
  • New offices in the old City-West neighbourhood
  • Positive company developments needed more space to grow

Berlin, 11 May 2020: The Berlin project development company Townscape has now moved into larger premises – but remains faithful to its old district. Not far from its former location, the company opened for business in its new offices in 24 Bleibtreustraße on 1 May 2020. The company’s steady growth in recent years led to new additions to the Townscape team, and the old head offices, which the company had called home since 2014, were reaching their limits. The new headquarters for the Berlin project development company is twice the size of the previous premises.

Henrik Sassenscheidt, managing partner of Townscape, reports, ‘Our old location – to which we were actually fondly attached – has fallen victim to our business success. Last year we renovated and reorganised the offices to try and gain more space. But you can’t magically conjure up more floor area. So we’re delighted to have found a suitable new building in this excellent location.’

Philipp Grabianowski, partner of Townscape, adds: ‘We urgently needed to move because we’d used every last inch of space – but are continuing to grow. Even though office space virtually never becomes vacant in Berlin, we were able to find a building that suited us perfectly in terms of size, layout and atmosphere. Our employees love our urban location in City-West. So we’re particularly happy that we were able to find new headquarters in the same neighbourhood.’

City-West, formerly known as the ‘Zoo quarter’, radiates out from Kurfürstendamm and is a popular choice for businesses. Kantstraße is Berlin’s secret gourmet paradise with countless restaurants, fast food outlets and bistros that are often full to bursting during the lunch hour. And the side roads are equally full of old Berlin charm, with delightful little shops, galleries and cafés waiting to be discovered. Bleibtreustraße also benefits from its close proximity to the Kurfürstendamm, Berlin’s famous promenade with its attractive historicist architecture. Close to the Bahnhof Zoo railway station, it is also ideally located for public transport. Despite its inner city location, Bleibtreustraße is a quiet side street and houses numerous restaurants and cafés. Townscape, a project developer, has been based in the neighbourhood since 2014.
